Steps to Apply

Complete the Application Form:
The first step is to complete the Japanese visa application form accurately. Applicants should ensure that the information provided is consistent with their supporting documents and travel plans.

Applicants may be required to provide the necessary biometric information and submit their original passport together with the completed application and supporting documents, depending on the applicable procedure.

After submission, the application is examined by the Japanese diplomatic mission. Processing time can vary depending on the application and circumstances, so applicants should apply sufficiently in advance of their intended travel date.

Once the decision has been made, the applicant can collect or receive the passport according to the procedure selected through the Visa Application Centre.
Multiple-Entry Visitor Visa
Indian nationals may also be eligible for a multiple-entry Temporary Visitor Visa under certain conditions. Japan provides multiple-entry visa procedures for eligible Indian nationals for tourism, business, and visits to relatives or acquaintances. Certain categories can receive a visa with a validity of up to 5 years, with a period of stay of up to 90 days per visit, subject to the applicable eligibility requirements.
