German Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte)
The German Opportunity Card, also known as Chancenkarte, is a residence permit that allows you to live in Germany for up to one year while seeking employment. The card is designed to attract skilled workers and professionals. The eligibility and other details are as follows.
General Information

Visa will be approved for 1 year to find a job – This has replaced the job-seeker visa, which was allowed for 6 months.

20 hrs a 20-hour-a-week job is allowed in the opportunity card, whereas no job is allowed in the job-seeker visa.
Eligibility
(1) Route – 1 → If your University degree and University are recognized in the ANABiN portal.
(2) Route – 2 → Secured 6 points out of 10 (Age, Education, Work experience, Language proficiency, Previous ties to Germany)
(3) German A1 or IELTS B2 level (above 6 bands) is required

Blocked A/c – Euro 1091 per person per month required for living, or shows balance in the Indian bank, provide a signed stamp statement for 6 months.

Additional Funds – Fixed Deposits, Mutual Fund, PPF, PF, Shareholding, etc.

A letter from the college regarding a full-time degree

Insurance – Expatrio or Dr. Walter (Premium approx. – INR 40,000) (Take insurance from the future date, you can pay the insurance premium after reaching Germany)

Accommodation proof (Book hotel or friends/relative declaration of commitment of sponsor)

Job acceptance letter if you got a job in Germany (you can search job through LinkedIn or any other platform)

After Visa Approval

If the visa is approved, they will give you a date for the pick-up of the stamped passport

Convert your opportunity card into to work visa or Blue card by visiting the city office after the job contract (Salary above Euro 48,000 is eligible for a Blue card)
