- Valid Passport: The passport must have been issued within the last 10 years, remain valid for at least 3 months after the scheduled return, and contain at least two blank pages.
- Travel Medical Insurance: Applicants must provide travel insurance covering the Schengen Area with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, including emergency medical treatment and repatriation.
- Proof of Accommodation: Hotel reservations or other appropriate accommodation documents should be provided.
- Purpose of Travel: Applicants should provide a clear itinerary and supporting documents explaining the purpose of their visit.

Applicants residing in India submit Swiss Schengen visa applications through VFS Global. The Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi has designated VFS Global to receive applications from applicants residing in India.

Applicants may be required to provide fingerprints and a photograph as part of the Schengen visa application process.

Attend the appointment at the designated Visa Application Centre with the completed application form, passport, photographs, supporting documents, and required biometric information.

The application is examined by the responsible Swiss authorities. Applicants should apply sufficiently in advance of their intended travel date.

Important Note:
A Swiss Schengen Type C visa is intended for short stays of up to 90 days within 180 days. If the applicant intends to stay in Switzerland for more than 90 days, a National Visa (Type D) is generally required.
